Our Mission
Seis Luces (Six Lights) is a nonprofit organization founded by Dr. Talia Zahra and Dr. Lyle Feinstein, with the goal of enhancing the lives of patients living with acute leukemia. Our mission is to focus on providing light, comfort, and meaningful experiences to our patients in their time of need.
We recognize the power medicine has to treat the body, however we also believe that true healing must take a whole-person approach—one that works to alleviate the emotional and spiritual aspects of recovery as well as the financial burden associated with it. At Seis Luces, we are dedicated to creating meaningful moments that uplift the human spirit through acts of kindness, personal connection, and experiences that bring comfort, joy, and hope during life’s most challenging times.
This initiative reflects our shared belief that, even in the darkest hours, there is always light to be found. Through Seis Luces, we strive to stand beside our patients not only as physicians, but as people who care deeply about their whole well-being and journey through illness.
Our mission is to support, encourage and brighten the lives of patients during their darkest hours. That is why we are invested in creating experiences that bring light to our patients’ lives rather than solely funding research initiatives.
